Importance The article deals with the issues of improving the management efficiency of the agro-industrial complex of the Perm Krai in order to increase the competitiveness of its agricultural sector. Objectives The article aims to study the problems of the agro-industrial complex' development management in a competitive environment, to develop recommendations on the complex' competitiveness improvement. Methods General scientific methods of analysis and synthesis, statistical method, and the economic-mathematical modeling method are the methodological basis of the research. Results The article presents an organizational-economic model of the process of improving the development management of the region's agrarian and industrial complex under the conditions of the WTO accession. This model allows for timely management action to amend and supplement the necessary adjustments to achieve the proper competitiveness of the agro-industrial complex. Conclusions In the new conditions of managing, the agribusiness management strategic objectives are not only to preserve the current level of agricultural production and its development but also the obtaining maximum economic benefits from the WTO membership.
