In the article various approaches to a tipologization and ranging of territories are analyzed. Thus as fundamental characteristics image and reputation of the countries, regions and the cities are considered. On the basis of the critical analysis authors developed methodological and practical recommendations on improvement of techniques of a tipologization and ranging of territories.
