Development of agro-industrial complex demands improvement of production infrastructure. However the problem of structural disproportions of material base, an inefficiency of the organizational and economic mechanism of state regulation, absence of real programs of support of agricultural producers within requirements of the World Trade Organization, call into question efficiency of carrying out high-quality modernization of infrastructure. In article on the basis study presents recommendations for practical resolution of this problem in the Kostroma region – one of the typical agricultural regions of Russia.
