Determination of construction enterprise progress trends is an important task for its management. To understand common trends the article covers the analysis of the Russian leading scientists’ views upon the development of science in the XXI century. The obtained results are shown on the example of construction and demonstrate basic challenges facing the sphere of activity. The authors mention that construction enterprise progress trends are determined by means of management horizon fixation and detection of processes and phenomena unplanned in the current industrial activities.
