Abstracts: the present article contains an analysis of the nature of outsourcing. Specific features of outsourcing in pharmaceutical industry are demonstrated. A new type of outsourcing - doubling outsourcing - is described. The importance of outsourcing for sustainable development of the Russian pharmaceutical branch is demonstrated. A mechanism of sustainable development is proposed. The authors also demonstrated the importance of outsourcing for distribution of target medicines.
