In the article the possible ways of regional clusters forming in the Republic of Tyva are investigated. With the use of formal methods of classification of territorial formations four macroeconomic districts are selected in the republic. On the basis of GIS technologies the spatial analysis of the macroareas has been conducted. The questions of the prospective specialization of each macroarea promoting its steady development and transformation to the successfully functioning economic clusters are considered.
