Today, securing of the stable economic growth rates of the State is one of the key challenges that require input from a variety of factors. The economy of any country can be regarded as a collec-tion of the industry sectors that produce goods and services, or, based on the territorial feature, as the total result of the development of the productive processes in the subjects of the State. The last option provides a different perspective on the problem of ensuring of the country's economic growth. The purpose of this article is a summary of the vision of the possible option of assessing the impact of the uneven development of territories on key macroeconomic indicators in Russia. The authors study the vulnerabilities in the economy of the Russian Federation based on the forms of the "import-export" statistical reporting, which allows to make an analysis of the spe-cialization of regions, to identify promising directions for the development of their production capacities. The study resulted in the formation of the theoretical construction to assess the impact of the uneven regional development of the entities of the State on the GDP dynamics. In this connection, the paper made a clear distinction between the GRP, generated by the region's own base; the results of the involvement of the subject in the federal programs and subsidies, which are allocated from the federal budget. That separation is important, since some of the authors in the economic literature identify the resources received by the constituent territories of the Rus-sian Federation in the framework of the federal programs as subsidies that is not sufficiently cor-rect. The approach proposed in the article may be applied by the designated companies and structures, which are dealing with this issue. The deepening of the perceptions about the impact of the territorial development factor will enable to develop the balanced solutions and to work out the correct program of the development of individual sectors and of the economy as a whole. The authors emphasize the need to prepare the legislation, which is aimed at creating of a mobile system to ensure the adequate growth of the country's GDP, which takes into account the specia-lization of regions and their differentiation in socio-economic development.
