The article presents the conceptual development of the labor market in the context of sustainability. The author carries out a categorical analysis of the concepts "labor market", "labor market crisis", "sustainable development of the labor market". She identifies a number of systemic problems that characterize the critical state of the labor market. Key provisions can be used in the development of program activities aimed at stabilizing the labor market.
