Individual, complex and integral assessments of investment attractiveness have been received for all regions of the Southern Federal District (except for the Chechen Republic). Based on analysis of these assessments, the article discloses major problems of the regions’ economic operations and develops recommendations for improving the investment attractiveness of not only lagging regions, but also those leading in the SFD.
