Importance The research focuses on marketing changes in the real estate sector, and represents a market research of how the financial crisis influences the investment market of the Russian real estate sector.
Objectives I combine fragmented information with that presented in publicly available sources, and obtain sufficient information to understand how market actors relate with each other, and project further development and possible implications for businesses and population in real estate investment.
Methods Drawing upon econometric and statistical methods, I analyzed aspects of the financial crisis and its effect on the real estate investment market and companies.
Results The article presents analytical data reflecting the real estate market of the Russian Federation for FY 2015, and identifies possible trends in the sector development.
Conclusions and Relevance The business environment is rapidly changing, thus making developers revise their strategic goals and approaches to business in the real estate market. In the current circumstances, the commercial real estate market is indispensable without companies that professionally manage such properties. The financial crisis influences the commercial real estate market so that various factors arise and affect the way those properties are operated. The findings can be used for academic researches, and by banking and other financial institutions, developers.
