Role of joint-stock companies with state participation in development of Russian stock market

The retrospective analysis of dynamics, structure and trading volume at the Russian exchanges from 2007 to 2013 allowed authors to establish a dominating role of joint-stock companies with the state participation, in comparison with the private companies, in development of the equity market and bonds. In the article it is shown that investment appeal and quality of corporate governance in joint-stock companies with the state participation are important indicators of an assessment of the international image of the Russian stock market.
