The article determines the factors influencing the development efficiency of regional markets of hotel services like a capacity of tourist potential, business activity, region location, transport availability, traditions, image of the region and mentality of local population. On the basis of an expert method, the author shows and analyzes the results of ranking of these factors and methods for assessing tourist potential. The article contains certain recommendations to increase the development efficiency of the Nizhny Novgorod regional market of hotel services.
