In the article the structural conversions of the economy of the regions of the north under the conditions for modernization and its passage to the innovation type of economic increase are examined. The carried out analysis made it possible to systematize the basic systematic condition of the comprehensive development of the economy of region and to reveal the basic problematic aspects of the reproductive complex of the region of the north.
