In the article the questions of influence of models of innovative process on competitiveness of the enterprises of mining and metallurgical complex are considered. The characteristic of new modern model of the innovative process reflecting tendencies of economy of knowledge is entered. It is concluded on the basis of the analysis of models about typical shortcomings of management of this sector.
