Analysis of relative prices movement, inertial and structural components of inflation of consumer market of Russia

The article on the basis of development of methodology of examination of relative prices examines structural biases of prices for various groups of provisions in Russia during market reformations 1991-2007. Large and small trends and cyclical fluctuations of cumulative indexes of relative prices have been revealed. An attempt have been made to explain regularities in movements of relative prices by affecting them with the following factors: development of market self-regulation, degrees of competitiveness and openness of markets and also politics of direct and indirect (through rate of exchange) regulation of prices. A differentiation of inertial and structural components of inflation of Russian consumer market have been done with the author’s methodology.
