Review of monograph "The role of credit and modernization of banks in lending"

The review includes authors' estimation of credit role and ways of modernization of banks activity in the sphere of lending that are presented in collective monograph edited by O.I. Lavrushin. Author agrees with collective opinion and emphasizes the motive of credit considering creation of new cost and acceleration of reproduction process. In the review it is allocated and added important from the scientific and practical point of view of the proposal of authors of the monograph.

The analysis of integrated approach of achievement of the main macroeconomic goals of the Russian Federation on the basis of model of "gold quadrangle" (achievement of economic growth, decrease in inflation and unemployment, ensuring positive balance on foreign trade) is carried out. The article is devoted to the problems of formation of the reproduction potential of each of the regions of the Volga Federal district. It is shown that in the large regions of the district acting traditionally as engines of national economy, for the last decade a number of macroeconomic problems in formation of own reproduction potential which preservation can make negative impact on rates of steady growth of the Russian economy was formed.

Subject This article describes and assesses the regions' functions in terms of providing effective indicators of the country's socio-economic development.
Objectives The article aims to consider the internal relations of reproduction potential in the context of Federal districts and subjects of the Russian Federation.
Methods For the study, we used the methods of logical, statistical, and correlation analyses.
Results The article presents a developed methodology for calculating the reproduction potential of the Federal districts of the Russian Federation.
Conclusions Internal potential relationships are not universal for all regions. Their characteristics help explore the peculiarities of the region in depth. Taking them into account contributes to improving the efficiency of regional governance through increasing the opportunities for qualitative and quantitative changes in the regional economic system of the Russian Federation.
