The article describes the different types of classifications of banking services. A scheme for the expansion and deepening of the classification of banking services, which will streamline banking services to enhance their competitiveness.

International practices of regional development of social entrepreneurship: Evidence from Canada

Subject This article discusses the peculiarities of regional development of social business in Canada.
Methods For the study, I used public reports prepared by the government agencies, scientific and professional communities of Canada over 2011–2016, as well as legislative acts in the field of social entrepreneurship. Statistics data on time of occurrence, sources of financing, spheres and purposes of activity, areas of operation, geography, organizational and legal forms of social enterprise are the basis for consideration.
Results The spread of social entrepreneurship in the provinces and territories of Canada is heterogeneous. The article reveals certain regional peculiarities of the institution's development. At the State level, the concept of Social Entrepreneurship is not legally enshrined. The definition is formulated at the level of professional communities only.
Conclusions The activities of Canada's social entrepreneurs are targeted, integrated into the local context, taking into account ethnic differences, economic and social priorities, and the geographical location of various Canadian provinces. The Canadian practices show the possibility of decentralized development of social entrepreneurship taking into account regional specifics. The conclusions can be taken into account when developing a concept of State regulation and support of social entrepreneurship in the Russian Federation.
