Conceptual framework for managing the energy saving and energy efficiency at industrial enterprises in the context of their innovative development

Subject The article addresses the management of energy saving and energy efficiency at the industrial enterprise under conditions of its innovation-driven growth.
Objectives The focus is on developing the conceptual framework for managing energy conservation and energy efficiency under innovative development of industrial enterprises.
Methods We analyzed and defined different approaches to changing the enterprise management system, including the enterprise development strategy, management goals and objectives, and management structure and processes.
Results We built a conceptual model for managing energy saving and energy efficiency at an industrial enterprise in conditions of its innovation-driven growth, developed a mathematical formulation of the problem, considering various options for positioning the energy saving and energy efficiency. The paper also reviews organizational aspects of managing the energy saving and energy efficiency.
Conclusions The presented conceptual approach may serve as a basis for improving the competitiveness of domestic enterprises on the basis of energy saving processes that are considered from the position of their close integration with innovation management processes.

In clause results economic and econometrics the analysis of sources of financing of investment process of regional economy are submitted by the example of the Central federal district Russian Federation. In work were used spatial and time econometrics models of interrelation of profitability of investments with shares of own resources, credits of banks, means of the federal budget and the budget of subjects of the Russian Federation, the other involved resources. The basic tendencies are revealed in the field of influence of each source of financing on investment process of regional economy.


The impact of processes of innovative development on energy performance of regional industrial complex

Importance To increase energy performance is essential at the regional level of economic management. However, so far this issue has been considered from the perspective of present-day problem solution, without a focus on achieving strategic objectives. The study makes an assumption about the influence of innovative processes on energy performance improvement of the regional industrial complex.
Objectives The study aims to review innovative development processes and their impact on energy performance of regional industrial system, and to identify possible ways to improve the domestic management practice in the considered sphere at the regional level of management of economy.
Methods The study employs a statistical method of processing the economic information to analyze the relationship of indicators of energy efficiency and innovative development of industrial complexes of Russia.
Results The paper finds a correlation between the indicators of innovative activity and energy efficiency of regional industrial complexes; provides a rationale for the impact of processes of innovative development on energy efficiency enhancement of Russian regions.
Conclusions and Relevance Integration of processes of innovative development and energy efficiency can be seen as one of possible ways to increase energy performance of the regional industrial complex under innovative modernization of the Russian economy. The findings may serve as a basis for improving the domestic practice of management in this sphere.


The impact of energy saving and energy efficiency enhancement on national economies' innovative development

Subject The paper investigates the energy conservation and energy efficiency policies in developed countries and compares them with the management practice of their innovative development. Solutions to energy saving and energy efficiency improvement are considered from the perspective of integration with innovative development process to identify effective mechanisms of the integration.
Objectives The aim is to investigate energy conservation and energy efficiency processes and their impact on innovative development of the developed countries' economy. The objective is to make recommendations on improving energy saving and energy efficiency under innovation and modernization of the Russian economy.
Methods Using the statistical methods for economic information processing, I compare the changes in macroeconomic indicators of developed countries in the field of energy saving, energy efficiency and innovative development.
Results The findings prove that boosting innovation in the energy sector is the most important factor of national economies' modernization. The paper unveils the specifics of energy conservation and energy efficiency enhancement in developed countries.
Conclusions and Relevance Solutions to problems related to energy saving and energy efficiency improvement from the position of their integration with the innovative development process provide better results as compared to their independent implementation. The findings may serve as a basis for domestic public policy development in the field of energy conservation and energy efficiency improvement under innovation and Russian economy modernization.
