Subject. This article considers corporate social responsibility as a factor for the sustainable development of the national economy. Objectives. The article aims to develop an algorithm that can help provide a comprehensive assessment of the level of social responsibility of engineering enterprises. Methods. For the study, we used the methods of logical, systems, and statistical analyses, as well as grouping and expert evaluation. Results. The article determines and presents a composite social responsibility index for large engineering enterprises that takes into account both internal and external parameters of enterprise’s activity. Relevance. The practical application of the developed algorithm can help identify the main problems associated with implementing the principles of corporate social responsibility by large industrial enterprises.
