Subject. This article discusses the issues of development of domestic tourism and preservation of the unique natural landscapes and folk traditions. Objectives. The article aims to examine the current conditions and determine the prospects for the development of agritourism in the Republic of Adygea, and analyze the existing resources and barriers. Methods. For the study, we used a statistical analysis. Results. The article notes that the significant natural and historical-cultural potential of the Republic of Adygea creates good prerequisites for the diversification of tourism products. However, there are serious limitations related to the state of transport infrastructure, level of service in rural areas, and the lack of qualified specialists in the hospitality industry. Conclusions. Cooperation between the government and business in the field of agritourism is necessary, along with the implementation of innovative approaches to attract tourists. The preservation of traditional ways of life and ensuring ecological sustainability are of great importance for the development of the tourist industry.
