Subject. This article discusses the issues of anthropogenic impact on the environment and the irrational use of natural resources. Objectives. The article aims to develop methodological recommendations for transitioning to a circular economy focused on waste minimization and rational resource use. Methods. For the study, we used a systems approach. Results. The article identifies economic, legal, and infrastructural factors that hinder the implementation of circular economy principles. The article proposes a developed algorithm for transitioning to a circular economy and indicators for assessing the effectiveness of the transition to a circular model. Conclusions. The development of innovations, investing in technological development, and changes in consumer behavior can be considered the key factors for success in transitioning to a circular economy.
