Subject. This article discusses the issues of improving the competitiveness of the tourism sector enterprises.
Objectives. The article aims to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of the current system of training personnel for the tourism industry.
Methods. For the study, we used a comparative analysis.
Results. Based on the consideration of the legal aspects of instructor guides’ work and duties, the article proposes certain recommendations for the development of professional additional education in the field of tourism and recreation.
Conclusions. The required number of qualified personnel is one of the components of the successful functioning of the tourism sector.
