Subject. This article discusses the impact of infrastructure potential on the agglomeration’s competitiveness.
Objectives. The article aims to define the essence of infrastructure, analyze approaches to the definition of infrastructure potential, and determine socio-economic effects arising from the implementation of infrastructure projects.
Methods. For the study, we used the general scientific research methods.
Results. The article presents the author-developed approach to the definition of infrastructure potential, describes its importance as a fundamental factor in the sustainable development of urban agglomerations.
Conclusions. It is necessary to develop a universal and transparent methodology for assessing the impact of the implementation of infrastructure projects on the socioeconomic indicators of the agglomeration, its stability and competitiveness.
