Subject. This article discusses the issues of development of the building industry in the context of sanction restrictions.
Objectives. The article aims to assess the building industry’s dependence on imports, and develop tools to ensure the industry’s technological independence in the face of sanction restrictions.
Methods. For the study, we used comparative and logical analyses.
Results. The article identifies and analyzes the key problems of the building sector and the effectiveness of the measures taken earlier, and describes areas of activity to mitigate the negative consequences of sanction restrictions.
Conclusions. The article concludes that in the face of sanction pressure, Russian companies are directing their efforts to develop innovative products, and the market of building materials gets transformed. Russian manufacturers ensure the supply of basic materials to a full extent. At the same time, supply from friendly countries is increasing, and parallel importing is boosting.
