Subject. This article discusses the issues of development of the regional social infrastructure. Objectives. The article aims to determine the parameters that help objectively assess the comfort conditions for providing social services, considering the education sector as a case study. Methods. For the study, we used the methods of critical, systems, logical, and structural analyses. Results. The article finds that potential consumers of services have increased requirements for transport accessibility, material and technical support, and catering. Environmental parameters are also important. Conclusions. The results of the study can be used to develop programmes for the modernization of social facilities.
