Subject. This article deals with the issues of financial support for the activities of local self-government bodies. Objectives. The article aims to optimize the methods of financial management at the municipal level. Methods. For the study, we used logical and statistical analyses. Results. The article presents an author-developed model of financial management for municipalities, which can help monitor the achievement of indicators of national projects of Russia, optimize the activities of executive and administrative bodies of local self-government, and spend local budget funds effectively. Conclusions. The proposed solutions can be used in the practice of local self-government bodies of municipal and urban districts.
