Subject This article examines the economic and social policies pursued by the Bashkir Republic in 1917.
Objectives The article aims to analyze the economic and social policies of the Bashkir government in 1917 under the conditions of the construction of the union state and national territorial autonomy.
Methods For the study, I used analysis and synthesis, and the historical and logical method.
Results The article describes the main provisions of the cultural and economic policies of the national territorial republic, the basic principles of the union (federal) state, private property issues, the peculiarities of the censorship system, the main provisions of the Decree on Land (one of the first Soviet legislation acts) and the Resolution on Land Issue, adopted by the Quriltai (Congress) on December 20, 1917.
Conclusions Many areas of the economic policy of the Bashkir Republic protected the sovereign rights of the State to national wealth, land, and education.
