Assessing the impact of socio-economic criteria on the region's sustainability through the TOPSIS method

Subject This article discusses the impact of socio-economic determinants on the sustainability of the region's development, identifying the areas of concern of the region's functioning as a complex of industries, social and production systems.
Objectives The article aims to quantify the impact of the sustainability factors of the Krasnoyarsk Krai as the largest region of Siberia and identify the determinants of sustainable socio-economic development.
Methods For the study, I used the Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS). The period under consideration is from 2013 to 2017.
Results The article identifies certain determinants of the sustainability of the subject's development and presents conclusions about the problems of sustainable development of the area, taking into account the level of dependence of the main socio-economic indicators on the success of production systems.
Conclusions Taking into account the criteria reflecting the success of the region's production complexes, when constructing an algorithm to assess the sustainability of the area's development helps quantify the impact of the parameters of production systems on the integral characteristics of the area's socio-economic development.
