Subject This article analyzes the most significant aspects that shape the conditions for the introduction of digital technologies and influence the economic growth and development of regions.
Objectives The article aims to consider the processes of digitalization at the level of Russian regions.
Methods For the study, we used the methods of statistical analysis, and economic and mathematical approaches.
Results The article describes a group of regions formed on the basis of the largest growth in the number of employed in the manufacturing sectors of the economy. Based on a cluster analysis of the movement of labor in the real economy and the development of digital technology components in the formed group of regions, the study highlights the relationship between them.
Conclusions The study highlights and complements the results previously obtained by other researchers from the new perspective. The proposed approach could be used, in particular, by regional authorities to identify the dependence of economic growth on the level of digital technology development.
