Subject This article analyzes the processes of using digital technologies in the economy in the Russian Federation and Central Federal District regions. Objectives The article aims to develop a methodology for assessing the impact of the special digital software used in the regions on the gross regional product of the Central Federal District subjects and their socio-economic development level. As well, it aims to determine areas to improve the State regional policy on reduction of differentiation in the regions' development. Methods For the study, we used the methods of correlation and regression, and statistical analyses, and economic and mathematical methods. Results The article shows the digital technology strength of influence on the amount of GRP. Conclusions and Relevance The article notes the variation of the degree of dependence of the gross regional product on various special digital programs. The number of digital technologies used by regions significantly affects the GRP. The developed model presented can be used by authorities, management and business for planning and forecasting at the regional level.
