Importance The article deals with the problems of social reproduction. Objectives The purposes of the article are exploring the contemporary approaches to measuring the impact of investment in reproduction of regional society, and identifying the need for new approaches relevant to substantive elements of the society and its functioning as a system. Methods For the study, I used a comparative analysis. Results The study results in the definition of the foundations of formation of a special approach to evaluating the effectiveness of investment in reproduction of regional society. Conclusions and Relevance I came to a conclusion that the aggregate of the existing scientific and technical approaches allows, to some extent, to evaluate the effectiveness of investments in social reproduction.
