Importance Entry of the Russian economy in the era of the market relations stabilization, which is focused on economic growth and an effective social reproduction development, objectively presupposes the existence of a powerful and dynamically developed, and accelerated growing production capacity. The basic foundations of agriculture constitute one of the basic elements of the growing production capacity. Objectives The goal of the research is to identify the specific features of agricultural production, which significantly impact fixed assets reproduction. As a result of the carried research, I have summarized and systematized the specific features of agricultural production, which directly and significantly impact fixed assets reproduction. The paper also identifies and analyses the climatic, socio-economic, legal, State and legal, scientific and innovative groups of indicators. Methods The study of the specific features of agriculture has been held on the basis of a systematic approach using the dialectical cognition method. The article determines an impact on certain characteristics of agriculture's main fixed assets reproduction, which include as follows: nature and climate characteristics: land use as production factor; the availability of crop and livestock sectors; seasonal production variability and the use of instruments of labor and availability of natural climatic zones; socio-economic characteristics: job category and labor conditions; price disparity; relationship with the funds of other sectors of economy; intra-industrial consumption; capital turnover duration, and specialization and concentration of production; State and legal characteristics: the variety of patterns of ownership and business patterns; State subsidies and compensation; availability of various risks; limited capacities for industry production diversification; research and innovation characteristics: low qualification of personnel; inadequate government funding for scientific research and development, and also slowdown in science and technology progress. Results I consider that my systematization of the specific features of agricultural production can be used in the concept definition of agriculture's fixed assets reproduction, choice of forms and principles of the State regulation of their reproduction. Conclusions and Relevance The paper emphasizes that systematization of the specific features of agricultural production can also be used while determining the sequence of technical re-equipment of an agricultural production.
