In article the regional investment climate of the Volgograd region in 2009-2012 is analyzed. Conditions of investment activity in this region – the created legislative base, existing in the field of a form of the state support of investment activity, bodies and institutes in the sphere of investments are considered. Components of a rating of investment potential and risk for 2009-2012 are shown in dynamics. Prospects and the potential of development of the Volgograd region are investigated. Information on region ratings is provided. Problems are allocated, strong and weaknesses of investment appeal of area, are offered actions for improvement of investment climate.
