The article is devoted to the problems of formation of the reproduction potential of each of the regions of the Volga Federal district. It is shown that in the large regions of the district acting traditionally as engines of national economy, for the last decade a number of macroeconomic problems in formation of own reproduction potential which preservation can make negative impact on rates of steady growth of the Russian economy was formed.
