In the article the current state of formation of profitable base of city districts within implementation of the federal law on the general principles of the organization of local government in the Russian Federation is considered. The analysis of the structure of own profitable sources assigned to local budgets, on the example of the budget of Michurinsk of the Tambov region is carried out.
