Assessment of potential mineral resources in Western Mongolia

The estimation of efficiency mineral deposits of West Mongolia, showing that the overall annual growth of gross regional product (GRP) of mineral deposits of western regions of Mongolia will be 34.9 billion rub.The largest increase is expected from the development of GRP deposits of rare metals (67%) , followed by silver deposits (14%), phosphorus (13%) and gold (6%). Continued construction of the railway along the route of the Kyzyl - Erzin - Erdenet can be a major factor in the development of these remote areas, to become a real foundation for the development of trade and economic relations not only between Russia and Mongolia, but aslo with Asia Pacific countries.
