In the article modern approaches and methods of an assessment of system effectiveness of public administration are considered. On the basis of existing organizational structures of governing bodies in the sphere of tourism of subjects of the Russian Federation the assessment of efficiency of activity of the state structures of management by the tourism sphere is carried out.
