In the article the condition of technical equipment of agricultural production of the Republic Dagestan is investigated. The reasons constraining updating of machine and tractor park are revealed. The comparative analysis of structure of park of agricultural cars on operation terms is carried out. The directions and mechanisms of modernization of technical potential of agrarian sector of the region by means of use of various tools, including expansions of leasing of agricultural machinery and attraction of private investments are offered.
