At the present stage of economic development of the Russian Federation, the main condition for expanding the range of food products and improving its quality is an ongoing and continuous process of structural and technological modernization of the processing industry. In this article the efficiency of the processing enterprises in the Republic of Bashkortostan in the light of innovation factors, the main incentive mechanisms of structural and technological modernization of industry are analyzed. It is concluded that the operation of the processing industry in regions with growing competition in the food market requires rapid problem solving efficiency of the production potential of the industry in view of the innovation component.
