In the article it is noted that in connection with high wear of power objects carrying out their modernization is one of key questions of transfer of the Russian economy on a way of innovative development. On an example of Kineshma the mechanism of reconstruction of objects of heat and power engineering of the city is considered and financing sources are defined.
