Improving the quality characteristics of human capital is a strategic task and condition of progressive development of the modern state. Leading role in the reproduction and development of human capital is the family. In the article results for research carried out in Stavropol Krai on studying of ranged social groups of the population, features of investment of family in development of the human capital are analyzed.
