Social contrasts regional development subjects of the North Caucasus federal district

The article highlights the issues of social and economic disparities among regions. The author analyzes the social trends of regional development on key indicators: employment, the level and quality of life. The calculations of ranking regions SKFO in some parameters of the social sphere are made. The internal factors of mitigate the socio-economic inequalities of disclosure and implementation of competitive potential of each subject are defined in the article.
