Evaluation of the productivity of innovation regions of the Southern federal district

This article investigates the Regional innovation system’s productivity on the basis of the evaluation of the effectiveness of the South Federal Regions’ resources utilization. The indices of the quality of the researches’ and the elaborations’ results and demand for them were disclosed and calculated that allowed appraise the South Federal Regions’ innovation activity.
     The analysis revealed that the level of the inventive activity and one of the demand for the investigations’ and developments’ results was much lower in high-tech South Federal Regions then in underdeveloped ones.
