Role of South Yakutia Mining and Metallurgy Complexes in Forming the Far-East Metallurgic Cluster

The article shows the modern condition of ferrous metallurgy of Russia, this industry's problems and development prospects, due to ore fields development in the east of the country, and creating mining and metallurgic complexes on their basis, to form (together with the "Amur-Stal" plant, currently in operation in Komsomolsk-na-Amure) a foundation of a new, fifth in the country, metallurgic cluster. It also shows the role and importance of South Yakutia Mining and Metallurgy Complex in forming a regional multyindusty territorial South Yakutia and Far-East metallurgic clusters. The article also specifies comparative amount of investments needed and the quantitative characteristics of newly created Mining and Metallurgical Complex and the regional metallurgic cluster, and their respective shares in the industry.
