The article deals with the methodic analysis and evaluation of competitiveness of different social and economic systems (regions, businesses, companies). Competitiveness of a region is analysed in terms of its two components – current competitiveness (includes business and company competitiveness in a constituent unit), and strategic competitiveness (includes evaluation of the internal innovation potential and importance of external economic relations). Methodical approaches suggested by the authors are tested in the largest unit, i.e. Siberian Federal District (Krasnoyarsk Territory).
