Directions of cross-border economic cooperation of the border region in modern conditions

Subject. This article focuses on the cross-border economic interaction of Russia's border regions with neighboring countries and regions.
Objectives. The study aims to find ways to develop the economic interaction of the border Baikal Oblast with neighboring countries, relying on natural geoeconomic advantages and natural resource potential.
Methods. For the study, I used the methods of causal approach and data visualization.
Results. The article studies the possibility of forming a cluster of small-scale liquefied natural gas plants in the region. It also carries out an assessment of the creating a data processing center potential.
Conclusions. The proposed directions of cross-border cooperation can function as measures to minimize the negative impact of international economic restrictions imposed by some countries.
