Subject. This article discusses the State regulation of the artificial intelligence technologies development, ensuring a balance between ethical standards, national security, and technological progress. Objectives. The study aims to develop recommendations for improving artificial intelligence technologies to ensure their sustainable and safe implementation. Methods. For the study, we used the methods of forecasting and crisis management based on a system-information approach. Results. The article analyzes key areas of government regulation in the field of artificial intelligence, and identifies the key aspects and mechanisms for its development. It also proposes appropriate recommendations. Conclusions. Differences in artificial intelligence regulation in different countries create unique conditions for its development. Effective government regulation of artificial intelligence development in Russia will allow it to take a leading position in the global competitive struggle for technological leadership.
