Subject. This article discusses sustainable development of European countries, the USA, Southeast Asian, and BRICS countries.
Objectives. The study aims to identify trends and problems in achieving sustainable development goals in modern conditions.
Methods. For the study, I used the methods of analysis and synthesis, as well as a review of scientific sources, statistical data, and forecasts.
Results. The article examines the theoretical discussion regarding sustainable development goals achievement, and explores the practical results of their achieving.
Conclusions. Interim results show the insufficiency of efforts by a number of countries to maintain economic development and a low likelihood of achieving the SDGs by 2030.
