The role and significance of State guarantees and sureties as a measure of financial support for small and medium-sized enterprises in the Russian Federation

Subject. This article discusses the system of State financial support for small and medium-sized enterprises in the Russian Federation. Objectives. The article aims to conduct a detailed assessment of the State guarantees and sureties significance as a financial support measure for SMEs in the manufacturing sector in modern Russia. Methods. For the study, I used the institutional approach, as well as systemic, comparative, statistical, normative-legal, and problem-oriented analyses. Results. The article reveals that the system of state guarantees and sureties is an indispensable government policy tool for supporting SMEs in the manufacturing sector in Russia. Conclusions. Further development of the State financial support system can significantly increase its contribution to achieving national goals of economic growth and diversification. The application of the research results is interdisciplinary and covers several key areas of public administration.
