Subject. This article focuses on the socio-ecological-economic potential as a systemic basis for the sustainable development of regional economic systems. Objectives. The article aims to justify the conceptual and methodological foundations for assessing the socio-ecological-economic potential of a regional economic system. Methods. For the study, I used the methods of system and structural analyses, component-based approach, comparative-analytical and methodological analyses. Results. The article clarifies the concept of socio-ecological-economic potential, reveals its structure as a complex multi-component system, substantiates its functions and properties, and conducts a comparative analysis of approaches to potential assessing. Conclusions. A comprehensive assessment of the socio-ecological-economic potential is necessary as a tool for enhancing the resilience of regional economic systems. The results can be useful in strategic territorial development planning and management decisions improvement.
